I'm sure by now pretty much all of us are at least aware of the upcoming Kinect Adventures game, and more specifically raft-riding-and-jumping minigame. But if not, here's a quick recap of the horror:
Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I really struggle watching that. I can't even begin to imagine playing it. I'm sure I can't be alone in thinking that it's missing something...
If, like me, you completely lack any imagination and find the Wii a bit too complicated, then you're in real luck. A company called Atomic Accessories
(completely third party, I doubt this is Microsoft-endorsed) has announced that they are making the ideal peripheral to help you be the best damn Kinect Adventures imaginable:
Yep. That actually exists.
The inflatable boat peripheral is described by Atomic Accessories as the "de facto the first accessory for the peripheral which doesn't need any.
" It's the first product in the Play On range, which implies that we'll being seeing more ingenious products soon enough. I am very excited about this.
The boat is a real-size replica of the game's "awesome" dinghy, measuring at 150 x 150cm - big enough to fit two players in!! The boat comes with it's own practical pump so you can easily inflate it in minutes
. The peripheral boasts that you can "enjoy the emotions of the best games in the reality of your home," implying that if you don't buy the dinghy you will not experience the full emotion of Kinect Adventures.
The boat will be available to purchase this November, but no price has been announced yet. Even if it is expensive, don't worry - Atomic have confirmed that the boat can also be used in real water, both at the sea or in a pool!* It really is a multi-functional gaming peripheral!*Please don't try and use Kinect in the sea. It won't work and is a potential safety hazard.
