F1 2015 Coming to Xbox One

By Mark Delaney, 2 years ago
I've been back on TA staff for two days and already I've covered three different racing titles. Continuing this unexpected trend, today a fourth one was announced. F1 2015 is bringing the franchise to current gen consoles for the first time ever. Boasting a new version of the series' EGO engine, the game is set to reinvent the physics of its racing mechanics to welcome new fans while also recapturing the attention of series vets. The new handling model takes into account over 20 different areas such as engine, transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and brand new tire physics.

Another highlight of the newest F1 game is revamped broadcast presentation to capture the atmosphere of a real Grand Prix event. Codemasters also promises the game will offer a fully playable FIA Formula One World Championship as "bonus content". Whether that means paid DLC or just a new feature is not yet known. F1 2015 releases in June, earlier than the series usually hits stores.

The game offers the 2014 season fully playable to players too, and in the screens below some of what you see are sights from the 2014 season played in the new 2015 game due to licensing restrictions.
