This weekend is host to New York Comic Con 2010, and today was the Marvel Games panel. During that panel, Marvel announced that the classic Konami arcade game X-Men will be see a re-release on the Xbox Live Arcade.
Originally released in 1992, the game was a side-scrolling beat 'em up that allowed up to six players playing simultaneously, as Cyclops, Colossus, Dazzler, Storm, Nightcrawler and Wolverine.
Marvel announced that Konami themselves will be handling the port, and that the game will add Xbox Live support, keeping the same six player cap with an all new online co-op mode. Even better than that though, Marvel asserted that the game will remain the same as it was in '92, stating that they are "bringing back all the cheese and all the bad music."
No word on a release date or price, so instead, let's all watch the game's cheesy intro movie:
