NBA 2K14 Servers Restored

By Michelle Balsan, 2 years ago
Servers go up and servers go down; such is the lifespan of many sporting game franchises. Thus it was little surprise when it was revealed that the servers for NBA 2K14 were set to close on March 31st. This would affect both the One and 360 versions and a number of achievements would also no longer be available.

Of course, just because we expect these things doesn't mean we accept them, and fan outcry was loud and clear. As a result, 2K Games revealed today that NBA 2K14 servers for both consoles have been resurrected. They also confirmed that future NBA games will have servers supported for 27 months, up from the current promised support of 18 months. This means that you have about nine months to wrap up those online achievements. Better get started now so that there's no need to rush!
