Somebody, somewhere, had one job to do. I'm highly confident that NOT included in that job was pressing the button for Happy Wars to become "accidentally available" for Xbox One! This slight hiccup has caused confusion and chaos for some as now the 360 version of Happy Wars (Xbox 360) has recently been seemingly shut down. Thankfully, all has been explained in this lengthy statement from the game's Facebook page including details on a coming title update, Happy Tickets and plenty more:
To users who have already played the Happy Wars Xbox One version
Thank you for your continued support for Happy Wars.
This message is to announce items of caution for users who have already played the Xbox One version of Happy Wars, which was accidentally released before intended.
First, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Regarding Use of Happy Wars for Xbox 360
To protect our users' saved game data, Happy Wars for Xbox 360 is currently not playable.
The issue preventing Happy Wars for Xbox 360 from being played will be resolved in the next title update for the Xbox 360 version of the game.
We are sparing no efforts to ensure that the title update for the Xbox 360 version of Happy Wars will be released as soon as possible.
Regarding the Number of Happy Tickets on Hand
If you have already played the erroneously released Xbox One version of Happy Wars, the number of Happy Tickets in your possession will be shown as 0 (zero), but the Happy Tickets you possessed with the Happy Wars Xbox 360 version are not shared with the Happy Wars Xbox One version.
If you play Happy Wars for Xbox 360 after the upcoming title update, then the Happy Tickets you earned previously with the Xbox 360 version of Happy Wars will be accurately displayed.
Also, when the Xbox One version of Happy Wars is officially released, we will provide a feature to permit transfer of your Happy Tickets from the Xbox 360 version to the Xbox One version of Happy Wars.
Regarding the Inability to Progress from the Top Menu to Game Home.
In the erroneously released Xbox One version of Happy Wars, part of the update data is not correctly set up, and therefore, due to the fear that this could lead to defective play, we have limited the game play for the time being.
Happy Wars for the Xbox One has now been delisted from the marketplace and a release date is yet to be confirmed. The 360 version is still available to download but is currently not available to play. We'll be sure to keep you guys informed as and when Happy Wars services resume.
