Madden NFL 16 Cover Vote

By Devin McIntyre,
As fans of the Madden franchise are now used to, the annual Madden Cover Vote has begun for Madden NFL 16, and this year will be slightly different than last year's cover vote. First off, there are less athletes to choose from. Where last year's vote featured 16 players who would go against one another each week in a massive bracket, EA Sports has dialed it back this year, cutting the amount of candidates to four. The choices are: Odell Beckham Jr. a Wide Receiver for the New York Giants who is coming off an amazing rookie campaign, Rob Gronkowski, Super Bowl winning Tight End of the New England Patriots, Patrick Peterson, one of the leagues' top Defensive Backs representing the Arizona Cardinals, and Antonio Brown, another Wide Receiver who was dominant last year for the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading the league in both receptions and receiving yards. With a change in format also comes a change in how you place your votes, EA Sports detailed their new voting system:

Voting kicked off earlier this week and you can cast your own vote in game through Madden Ultimate Team on either Xbox One or Xbox 360. You’ll receive one Cover Vote Collectible the first time you log into MUT this week. You can use this and other Cover Vote Collectibles to complete Cover Vote Sets – one for each of the four semifinalists. Don’t miss this limited-time opportunity! The first round of voting will close on Monday May 11th at 3:00 AM Eastern time, the finalists will then be announced on May 12th with the winner being crowned on May 13th live during SportsCenter on ESPN at 6:00 PM Eastern time.
