Changes to Social Sharing

By Rich Stone, 2 years ago
It's Friday, so that means it's time for a site update before the weekend!

We've had a TA app on facebook for some time that automatically posted your game starts and completions, and any milestones earned. Facebook recently made some changes that meant apps could not longer automatically post to users' timelines, so we've made some changes here to allow for a more manual sharing of content.

Share achievement wins
When you click on one of your achievement wins in your friend feed, you go through to the details page for your win. That now has a share bar:

You can share to the major social networks, and sharing to facebook will put the game box art in your story, as well as a link to the actual unlock info page:

Share Completions
You can now share game completions too - click on the icon next to the completion date to get a dropdown menu:

Share Game and DLC Achievement Lists

Finally, you can now share game and DLC achievement lists - including to your friend feed, so if you see an achievement list hit the site that you think your friends might be interested in, simply click the share button on the Game (or DLC) information panel on the right of the page:

Share Milestones
You can also share milestones by clicking on them in your friend feed and then using the share bar on the Milestone page.

Another Big Mobile Update
We've just pushed another big update to the TA Mobile experience - you now have a scrollable tab bar on top of gamer and game pages. These link through to the standard tabs you will find on the full site, but all the pages have been optimized for mobile devices:

A couple of other small devs
We've added base game completion messages to friend feeds for those without the "No DLC" completion setting, and a platform dropdown to the Sales Hub page. We know several of you have been asking for these devs for a while smile

Have a great weekend!
