Kingdom Come: Deliverance Dev Diary Part 11

By Ben Crouch, 1 year ago
Last time we checked in with Kingdom Come: Deliverance back in April, we got treated to some of the new additions of lock picking, the progression of NPC's perception with the player and even some merchandising in the forms of different beers.

Today, we have the eleventh video in their series of dev diaries that goes over how they create their beautiful landscapes with Kuba Holik, their lead 3D Artist. Kuba goes into some great detail on how they use the CryEngine program to add different layers of vegetation, construct buildings, such as churches, and how to use lighting to affect individual structures between night and day. The video clocks in at just over 22 minutes; and for anyone interested in game design or the CryEngine program it's a good video to watch.

While nothing has been set in stone yet, Warhorse Studios is now hoping for a mid year release around Summer 2016.

Ben is sarcastic, immature and dashingly handsome! (Most people tend to disagree on the last part) He is 24, and lives in Melbourne, Australia. He plays mostly all game genres, but RPG's are his real jam. Priding himself in his overwhelming backlog of games on both xbox and playstation systems, he has finally acknowledged that he will never catch up and has time to only play the best of the best (Just don't check his gamercard, you may find a few Disney games on there that he insists his little sister played and not him, but we know the truth) He also works with Eb Games on the outside of TA during the day, and manages a Pizza shop by night. You can be sure the True Achievements web page is always open and ready to go on either his phone or works pc.
