NBA 2K16 Will Feature Three Cover Athletes

By Mark Delaney, 1 year ago
With the NBA Finals tipping off this week, the basketball world is ready to crown a new champion. 2K Games is too. They've decided on three separate covers with three separate stars for this fall's NBA 2K16. One of them is even the biggest name in the game right now and still playing this week. Buyers can choose among Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden in the Spike Lee-directed game.

Lee's influence will be felt in the game's popular MyCareer mode that lets gamers bring their own created players up through the league. The story follows a top high school prospect as he works toward the pro game, making difficult personal and business decisions along the way. Lee was on site at the Bay Area studio shooting narrative material over his twelve day visit. This sort of career arc is clearly a focal point as even the cover stars' high school, college, and former teams are on display in the artwork.

If you do plan on picking it up, don't forget that buying in as a pre-order gives you access to the game on September 25th, four days before the game's release on the 29th for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
