This report is for the period June 1st to 7th 2015
Welcome to the stats for the first week of June here on TA. "Games with Gold" continues to dominate the numbers, as it has for the last two years. Interestingly, the program was first announced for Xbox 360 at 2013's E3 on 360, then was extended to Xbox One at last year's E3. Will this year's E3 see another "Games with Gold" related announcement or will the program just trot merrily along from now on?The Big Numbers
56,157 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 83,880 games between them (2,149 different games).
7,156 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 11,040 games between them (1,433 different games).
127,240 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 1,898,776 achievements online between them (64,984 different achievements).Xbox One
With the beginning of a new month came the changeover of Xbox One freebies on "Games with Gold". This month, new release MASSIVE CHALICE
takes the spotlight. Double Fine's epic lineage-based strategy title gabs over 16,300 starters. It also dominates on Achievements Won, claiming seven spots including the top five.
The week saw other new releases with Zuma clone Sparkle Unleashed
a popular starter in fourth with over 1,200 starters. Other releases The Swapper
and SteamWorld Dig
don't make the Started table, though The Swapper
's easy completion (over 66% of players have finished it) puts it in eighth on the Completed table with 90 completions.
Sales put board game titles TRIVIAL PURSUIT LIVE!
, MONOPOLY Plus
on the Started table in third, seventh and ninth with between 750 and 1,500 starters. Having an easy completion also makes MONOPOLY Plus
the second most completed game with almost 200 completions.
The release of "ODST
" for Halo: The Master Chief Collection
continues to have a big effect. Not only do two achievements pop up in sixth and seventh on Achievements Won but the release seems to have lured more people into starting the game as it pops up in tenth on the Started table with over 700 starters. The release of the "Supremacy
" DLC puts Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
as the third most completed game with 190 completions as well as a single achievement in tenth on Achievements Won.Top Xbox One Games StartedTop Xbox One Games CompletedTop Xbox One Achievements WonXbox 360
The new 360 "Games with Gold" title Just Cause 2
proves a popular one, grabbing 5,600 starters and the top eight most achievements won. Previous freebies continue to dominate the rest of the tables but, this being TA, there are a few extra additions. Notoriously easy completion Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth
clambers up from the seventh to fourth most completed title. The announcement
of the next instalment in the series has seemingly encouraged players to pick up its predecessor as Fallout 3
shows up in seventh with almost 170 starters. Sales also put Tekken 6
in ninth with 160 starters.
" for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox 360)
has a similar effect on the 360 as on the One. It makes the game the third most completed with over 40 completions and puts the same achievement as the tenth most earned.Top Xbox 360 Games StartedTop Xbox 360 Games CompletedTop Xbox 360 Achievements WonXBLA
A discount on Costume Quest 2 (Xbox 360)
proves popular, putting the game in fourth with 80 starters, slotting it in between the usual suspects. Its easy completion also makes it the sixth most completed title though it doesn't manage to get any slots on Achievements Won thanks to the ever present Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition

has been dominating the Windows Phone for quite a while now. As with the other recent Game Troopers releases, a Windows 8 version was inevitable. Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Win 8)
smashes onto the table this week as it's finally released, started by almost 500 players. As the game doesn't currently support synching across both versions, people have to do it all again. Over 100 did in the first week, making it also the most completed game and giving it a clean sweep on Achievements Won. Thanks to a sale, Hitman GO (Win 8)
gets a boost back onto the table and straight into second on Started and seventh on Completed.Top Windows Games StartedTop Windows Games CompletedTop Windows Achievements WonWindows Phone
After Monster Go! (WP)
and Lara Croft: Relic Run (WP)
were released the previous week, we're spoiled by yet another new release this week in the form of What in the World? (WP)
. More popular than both those games were when they launched, it grabs approaching 2,500 starters. It's also the most completed game with 120 completions and almost manages a clean sweep on Achievements Won. Monster Go! (WP)
stops the sweep by sneaking in at the bottom. Like on W8, Hitman GO (WP)
reappears thanks to the sale, this time as the fourth most started and fourth most completed game.Top Windows Phone Games StartedTop Windows Phone Games CompletedTop Windows Phone Achievements WonGenres
