Focus Home Interactive have revealed the first set of in-game screenshots for for their upcoming first-person-shooter based on the classic Space Hulk board game, Space Hulk: Deathwing
, as well as some new details on the game itself.
In addition to the single-player campaign, Space Hulk: Deathwing
will also feature a class-based cooperative multiplayer mode where each player must make use of their specialist skills to help reach the objective.
In order to survive the horrors aboard the Space Hulk, teamwork and a clever use of squad tactics are required in multiplayer. While as a Librarian in single player, players will be able to make use of an array of psychic abilities and give orders to their AI squad.
In either mode, players will need to fight through swarms of approaching Genestealers controlled by a dynamic AI system that “scales attacks depending on the ability of the player squad,” so that players will “always be challenged.” As your squad racks up the kills the Genestealer assault will become more vicious, but if you begin to falter your enemy may “not unnecessarily risk their numbers”.Space Hulk: Deathwing
is due to be released in 2016 and will be on display at this month's E3.
