This report is for the period June 8th to 14th 2015
Good evening and welcome to the stats from TA for the second week of June. Apologies that this one is a day later than normal. Last weekend I was on a stag do for one of my Wookiee brethren and things got more than a little messy. There was clay pigeon bowcasting, blindfolded speeder bike racing, Twi'lek dancers in various states of undress and far, far too much Juri juice. My head currently feels like Jabba's been sitting on it. Or standing on it. You can't ever really tell if he's sitting or standing. I left my Ewok helpers, the Statisticles
, in charge while I was out but then I remembered that we'd been using them as the clay pigeons. The Big Numbers
60,038 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 84,574 games between them (2,094 different games).
7,601 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 12,231 games between them (1,500 different games).
126,353 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 1,678,603 achievements online between them (66,540 different achievements).Xbox OneThe Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited
hits the table in a big way on its release, pulling in over 19,500 starters. With such a massive game, the achievements are spread out across the experience so apart from the first few, not many others have been earned that much. This means it grabs only the first four slots on Achievements Won and is unlikely to appear on Completed. Like, ever. A week after release, freebie MASSIVE CHALICE
takes a massive drop from 16,300 to 3,000 starters but only drops one spot to second.
The other new releases of the week were LEGO Jurassic World
and Payday 2: Crimewave Edition
, which take third and sixth. Meanwhile the week's sale
makes Sunset Overdrive
the fourth most started game, Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition
the seventh and Pneuma: Breath of Life
the eighth. Sunset Overdrive
is even popular enough to take two spots on Achievements Won in eighth and ninth.
The particularly easy completion of Pneuma
puts it straight to the top of Completed with 460 completions. Also appearing on Completed is Forza Horizon 2
in third with over 170 completions thanks to the new "Porsche Expansion
" DLC. A single achievement from that DLC was also the fifth most earned achievement behind the Elder Scrolls
ones.Top Xbox One Games StartedTop Xbox One Games CompletedTop Xbox One Achievements WonXbox 360
New Games with Gold freebie Just Cause 2
continues to reign despite dropping by almost 4,000 starters to 1,700. It also sweeps Achievements Won with its wanton destruction. Although new release LEGO Jurassic World (Xbox 360)
manages to be the second most started game, 300 starters isn't exactly big. With only around 12% of the starters of the One version the difference is numbers is marked and indicative of the decline of the console. Having said that, maybe the recently announced Backwards Compatibility of 360 games on the One will help keep the 360 numbers alive.
Like Fallout 3
last week, Fallout: New Vegas
also joins its predecessor as the sixth and seventh most started games, buoyed by the Fallout 4
The recent "Supremacy
" DLC keeps Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox 360)
the third most completed game whilst both Fallouts
also get completion boosts to go alongside the new starters sixth and tenth.Top Xbox 360 Games StartedTop Xbox 360 Games CompletedTop Xbox 360 Achievements WonXBLA
As with the One, the week's sale pushes Zombie Driver HD
onto the table, this time in fifth with 70 starters. It sits below the previous week's sale offering, Costume Quest 2 (Xbox 360)
, which actually climbs up the table from fourth to third thanks to the drop in Goat Simulator (Xbox 360)
players. It also increases its standing on completions, going from sixth all the way up to third.
Weirdly enough, XBLA actually got a new release this week in the form of Monster Jam Battlegrounds
. The Trials
-like racer hybrid manages to be the seventh most started game with over 50 starters.
Oh, and on Achievements Won? It's still all about Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
, naturally.Top Xbox Live Arcade Games StartedTop Xbox Live Arcade Games CompletedTop Xbox Live Arcade Achievements WonWindows
The new release of the Windows version of Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Win 8)
dominates again, despite dropping by 100 starters from around 500 to 400. The completions for the game grow on the other hand from 100 to over 210, firmly keeping it as the most completed title and sweeping Achievements Won. Hitman GO (Win 8)
also holds second place on Started and climbs from seventh to third on Completed thanks to its continuing sale.Top Windows Games StartedTop Windows Games CompletedTop Windows Achievements WonWindows Phone
The Windows Phone tables almost mirror the previous week with new, easy and free release What in the World? (WP)
very comfortably the most started, completed and "earned" title by a long way. Other recent releases, Monster Go! (WP)
and Lara Croft: Relic Run (WP)
, remain the second and third most started games whilst the sale keeps Hitman GO (WP)
in fourth. Having a new title on the weekly sale seems to have also been welcome as discounted CarneyVale: Showtime (WP)
shows up in seventh with 70 starters.Top Windows Phone Games StartedTop Windows Phone Games CompletedTop Windows Phone Achievements WonGenres
Although the Shooter numbers drop from 17 to 11 million this week, it holds firm in first place. Strategy and Racing swap places after the drop in MASSIVE CHALICE
starters puts Strategy from fourth to sixth while Forza Horizon
DLC puts Racing up from sixth to fourth. The increase in Pneuma
players, combined with What in the World? (WP)
puts Puzzle onto the table in ninth.Total TrueAchievements won by Genre
That's all for now. I'm off to nurse my hangover. Join us next week for, well, not very much really. E3 is always a dead zone for new releases but we do get Lines (WP)
and Dragon Mania Legends (WP)
on Windows Phone so that's...something?
