This report is for the period June 22nd to 28th 2015
Welcome to the stats for the final week in June here on TA. This week was all about old Bats and his latest adventure hitting the One. I tried my hand at the superhero thing for a while back in the day but apparently
having a seemingly endless supply of disposable furry minions, like my Statisticles
, is behaviour usually reserved for supervillains instead of heroes so I couldn't join the union. I'll show them. I'LL SHOW THEM ALL! *Ahem* Yes, hero. Definitely not villain. The Big Numbers
68,429 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 97,296 games between them (2,144 different games).
8,083 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 12,992 games between them (1,607 different games).
135,122 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 2,335,549 achievements online between them (68,156 different achievements).Xbox One
The Dark Knight smashes onto the table with over 25,700 starters, naturally also sweeping all the achievements won in the process. The nearest anything else can come is SMITE
, which remains in beta but which received an achievement-carrying patch
in the week. It gives the game over 3,000 starters as the next most started game. The other new release of the week, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition
, settles for eighth place with 940 starters.
After the previous week's domination by EA Access titles after a free promotion, things settle down again with recent releases The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited
and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
still doing well. Witcher
also makes its first appearance on the completed table with 90 completions just over a month after its release. The recently made free first episode puts Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series
as the fourth most started title.
The week's sale
sees easy title Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition
as the most completed title. The completions for recent release LEGO Jurassic World
also grow this week from 260 to over 340 though it stays in third as recent easy sale title Pneuma: Breath of Life
slips down the table from second to sixth.Top Xbox One Games StartedTop Xbox One Games CompletedTop Xbox One Achievements WonXbox 360
New Games with Gold title THIEF (Xbox 360)
still rules the roost though it drops by over half its starters from 3,800 to 1,500. Like last week it can't manage to sweep Achievements Won as Just Cause 2
slips in to disrupt things. LEGO Jurassic World (Xbox 360)
clambers up the completions from fifth to second whilst the boost in Thief
players makes it the seventh most completed title.
Sale title Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
slips into the usual mix of recent freebies with 270 starters in fourth whilst both Fallout
titles and Mass Effect
all retain places on the table thanks to the post-E3 buzz of new announcements and backwards compatibility.Top Xbox 360 Games StartedTop Xbox 360 Games CompletedTop Xbox 360 Achievements WonXBLA
Backwards compatibility dominates XBLA again this week (and will probably continue to do so from now on) though recently free Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series (Xbox 360)
wrestles the top spot away from BattleBlock Theater
After a big break between episodes, "Episode 3: Catch a Ride
" was finally released for Tales from the Borderlands (Xbox 360)
, making it the most completed game with 370 completions.
After being pushed down the table with the backwards compatible titles last week, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
regains dominance on Achievements Won, claiming six spots including the top three.Top Xbox Live Arcade Games StartedTop Xbox Live Arcade Games CompletedTop Xbox Live Arcade Achievements WonWindows
Windows gives us two new releases this week, both from Gameloft, with Dragon Mania Legends (Win 8)
the most popular with over 460 starters and Dungeon Hunter 5 (Win 8)
taking third with 100. Sandwiched between them is our old friend Make It Rain: The Love of Money (Win 8)
. The top two also share spots on Achievements Won with Dragon
grabbing six spots, including the top five. Despite its usual free to play grind, it also manages to be the ninth most completed title, though with six completions I'd hardly call it easy. A lot of those numbers come from the fact that it contains cross-unlocking with the WP version that was released a week prior. Speaking of the WP version, Dragon Mania Legends (WP)
holds strong in second but drops behind the aptly named What in the World? (WP)
, which also continues to dominate completions. Dungeon Hunter 5 (WP)
was released alongside its Windows version and pulls in double the starters. Unlike Dragon
it doesn't seem to have cross-platform unlocking so the numbers aren't necessarily boosting each other across the tables.Top Windows Phone Games Started Top Windows Phone Games CompletedTop Windows Phone Achievements WonGenresBatman
gives Action-Adventure a big old boot up to first above Shooter this week, taking it from 10 to almost 22 million. SMITE
helps give Action a small boost from sixth to fourth while Adventure scrambles from ninth to sixth with the combined force of Game of Thrones
and Tales from the Borderlands
. Total TrueAchievements won by Genre
That's all for now. Next week will see small releases Quiplash
trying to square up to the big boys on Xbox One while even more Gameloft releases hit Windows and WP. We'll also see the return of our monthly stats to see how the whole of June looked.
