Smite Enters Open Beta

The time has finally come for those who didn't get in on SMITE's closed beta, as game developer Hi-Rez Studios has now opened it up for all Xbox One gamers.

The in-game marketplace for SMITE is already live. Players will be able to acquire gods, cosmetic skins and more. All purchases, progress, and achievements unlocked during the open beta will be transferred to the full version of the game when it releases. If you've already been spending time with SMITE on the PC, players should take the opportunity to link their PC and Xbox One accounts to receive a "free Zeus Xbox skin" that can be used for both accounts. PC players will be able to use a one-time account merge option to "copy select progress and items" from their PC account over to the Xbox One.

Players can also make a clean sweep of the god-filled marketplace with the purchase of the "Founder's Pack". Here's what the pack includes:

Open beta users can also purchase the SMITE Founder’s Pack for $29.99 through the Xbox Games Store. The Founder’s Pack includes the following: every god currently in the game (65 so far on Xbox One) and all future gods, 400 Gems, the exclusive Ares “Soldier of Fortune” skin, and the limited Ymir “Cacodemon X” skin. The Founder’s Pack is available for a limited time and will be discontinued when the game launches fully on Xbox One.
A new trailer has been released to kick off the open beta fun. Let's see what's in store for the god-like gamers:

SMITE's open beta is available right now. The full version of the game is scheduled to release later this Summer.
