Game developer, NeocoreGames, the developer behind The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, has announced that they are working on a new Action-RPG set within the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is being produced in close collaboration with Games Workshop and will throw players into a “grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition”.

For those that are unfamiliar with Inquisitors, they act as the Imperium's secret police and intelligence agency, tracking down and putting an end to herecy, Chaotic corruption and maintaining mankind's dominance throughout the universe with absolute power to judge and execute.

Zoltán 'Pozs' Pozsonyi, Producer for NeocoreGames, explains why they have decided to work on this massive franchise:
There's a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it's intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an Action RPG. Working with Games Workshop, we're doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We're huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game.
Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing for Games Workshop, also had this to say on the partnership with NeocoreGames:
A Warhammer 40,000 action RPG has been notably absent from our portfolio of video game licenses so far and its great to finally be able to talk publicly about this wonderful game that the guys at Neocore have been working so hard on for some time now. Their previous action RPG's are very impressive and we feel privileged to be partnering with them on this game.
Alongside the announcement, NeocoreGames and Games Workshop have also released an announcement teaser trailer for the title:

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is due to be released for the Xbox One sometime in 2016.
