Smite Combo Breaker Patch Notes

Fans of SMITE will be happy to know that Hi-Rez is still thinking of them, as they get ready to drop another massive update to their popular MOBA. This upcoming update, known as the "Combo Breaker Patch" will be introducing a new God, Ravana, as well as giving Nox a big rework. On top of that, the Xbox One version will be getting the new jungle meta, altering spawn times of jungle camps and really changing how a game of conquest is played. Furthermore, there is a new arena map making it's way to the console, altering the look and feel of the whole arena and bringing in new buff camps. And finally, the one thing that a lot of SMITE fans have been eagerly awaiting, leagues will be making their way to the Xbox One. This will include both Conquest and 1 on 1 Joust leagues, both of which require players to be level 30 with at least 16 mastered Gods.

Along with all these additions to the game are your usual handful of tweaks and fixes to gameplay, characters and items, all of which can be seen in the patch notes below. Hi-Rez has also shared a quick overview of the key points in the patch, as shared by Scott Ghandi in the following video:


- Conquest and Joust leagues are now open for players at player level 30 who have mastered at least 16 gods.
- Acquire badges as you climb through the ranks.
- View your friend’s progress via the league leaderboards.

New User Updates: Up until level 5
- Players will be defaulted to the Co-Op tab selection on the play screen.
- “RECOMMENDED” will be visible and flashing on Co-Op Arena Queue.
- Conquest, Assault, Siege, and Match of the Day will be unlocked at level 5.

Summer of Smite updates
- Expanded to include all content of the Summer of Smite.

Pause menu item added for offline modes and Custom matches.
- Players can now pause a match in custom and practice matches.

Option to turn Aim Assist on/off
- Players can now turn off the aim assist so they can have more direct control over their skill shots.

Option to turn controller basic attack vibration on/off
- Based on community feedback we brought back an option to turn on basic attack vibration.

Ability to view your god’s stats in match within the item store
- Players can press the menu button while viewing the match item store to view their god’s stats and build accordingly.

Fixed an issue in which the large health bars were not appearing over map objectives such as the Fire Giant and Gold Fury.
- We are now displaying the numerical health values for these objectives.
- Fixed an issue where the information in the player’s profile menus would not update properly.

Implemented more fixes to the party system.

Added VGS command for GEB’s Save the World Emote

Added VGS command for Global Emote (Summer of SMITE Fireworks Emote)

Announcer packs can now be equipped through the player profile.
- Obtain an announcer pack through Summer of Smite.
- Transfer existing announcer packs with the one time PC transfer process.

NEW GOD: Ravana

Chain of Blows
Each successive hit within 5 seconds adds to Ravana's combo chain, allowing Prana Onslaught to do an additional 10% damage for each hit in the combo, up to a maximum of 80% total. Hits on towers will not be counted, and additional hits above 8 will not count towards this damage again until Prana Onslaught has been fired.

Prana Onslaught
Ravana throws a powerful punch, projecting his prana with it to damage and slow all enemies in front of him.

Overhead Kick
Ravana performs a high kick sending a shockwave forward to damage all enemies in a line and rendering him CC and damage immune during the action.

10-Hand Shadow Fist
Ravana's fists fly forward, damaging and passing through minions and damaging and rooting the first god hit. Ravana heals for each enemy hit - with maximum damage sources of one God and up to three minions.

Mystic Rush
Ravana doubles his current chain of blows count and rushes to his target, damaging them and knocking aside all enemies in his path. The target is then linked to Ravana, doing full damage to him while all other enemies do reduced damage.

NEW GOD: Nox (Updated Kit)

Flame of the Night
Nox’s candles gather energy from all abilities she uses. For every ability Nox casts a candle is lit. For every candle lit Nox gains +3% magical power. When Nox takes damage one of her candles is blown out.

Shadow Lock
Nox extends her shadow, rooting a single enemy god in place and dealing damage over time. Nox must channel to maintain hold on the target, but may cancel this ability early.

Siphon Darkness
Nox creates a void of darkness that silences all enemies within. After a short duration it explodes, dealing damage.

Shadow Step
Nox dashes forward, dealing damage to all enemies. If she hits an allied god, she leaps into their shadow, traveling with them. When Nox exits a shadow, she deals damage again in a radius around her. Nox may cancel this ability early to exit shadows.

Night Terror
Nox unleashes a vortex of dark energy that explodes on contact with an enemy god, dealing damage to all enemies in range 20 and applying damage over time. Enemies hit are also weakened, dealing less damage for the duration.

- Fixed Ra bot not leveling up with you in Jungle Practice.
- Fixed rare issue where Phoenixes would not respawn.

- Visual improvements have been made to Pedestals in the Match Lobby.
- Added new background to the End of Match Lobby.
- Fixed issue where several bots would spawn on the same point in Custom matches.
- Updated several tooltips for improved consistency.
- Fixed Greater Sprint having outdated passive text for non-English localizations.
- Corrected an error in new player training Favor rewards.


- Fire Giant, and Gold Fury now have 50% reduction in Lifesteal from hitting them.
- Fixed issue where Jungle Buffs could get stuck in the air.
- Fixed issue where the Titan could get stuck on a wall when returning to base in Joust.
- Fixed issue in Assault where players would be unable to buy items for the rest of the match.

Ward Changes
- Reduced the maximum number of wards placed per player from 3 to 2.
- Killing an enemy Basic Ward or Sentry Ward rewards 50 gold. (Last hit only, no assist).
- Basic Ward vision range reduced from 60 to 45.
- All Wards are revealed for 1s when placed, and are not hittable.
- Eye of Providence has been removed.

Gold Fury
- Adjusted the value of Gold Fury gold reward from 100 +10 per minute to 150 +10 per minute, still capping at 350.
- The value of the Gold Fury kill now scales team XP starting at 100 and gaining +10 per minute of game time, to a maximum of 250.
- The Gold Fury now breaks player deployables that bar her path.

Kill Bounties
- Globally, XP bounties for players has been adjusted to reward less XP for early game kills, by giving 50 + 30 * Victim’s Level.
- In Arena, XP bounties for players remain similar to before, rewarding 50 + 13 * Victim’s Level.

Jungle Creatures

- Cyclops (Small)
Reduced starting health from 250 to 180.
Reduced physical damage from 9 to 5.

- Harpy (Small)
Reduced physical damage from 8 to 5.
Increased XP value from 22 to 30.
Reduced starting health from 250 to 180.

- Elder Harpy (Big)
Reduced XP value from 140 to 110. This includes Mid Camp and Back Camp Elder Harpies.

- Cyclops Buff Holders (Big)
Reduced starting health from 1080 to 960.
Increased health growth from 55 to 65 every 3min

Conquest Jungle Camps

- Attack Speed Camp (Purple)
Reduced respawn timer from 4min to 3min.

- Mana Camp (Blue)
Reduced respawn timer from 4min to 3min.

- Harpy Camps (Back)
Reduced respawn time from 100 to 80s.

- Elder Harpy Camps (Mid)
Now spawn at 10s.
Corrected issue where respawn was 3:10 rather than 3min.


- Reduced cost from 2400 to 2250.

- Attack speed reduced to 20%.

Bluestone Pendant
- Reduced Physical Power from 15 to 10.
- Reduced passive mana return from 3 to 1.5% of missing Mana.

Celestial Legion Helm
- Reduced price from 2850 to 2350.
- Reduced passive proc frequency from every 15s to every 6s.

Doom Orb
- Now round up when losing half stacks on death, to a minimum of 1.
- +40 Magical Power, +200 Mana, +7MP5.
- Passive - You gain +10 Magical Power per stack, and receive 2 stacks per god kill and 1 stack per god kill assist. Half of your stacks are lost on death. (Max 10 stacks).

Hand of the Gods
- Hand of the Gods (Rank 1) - Only hits a single target. Target is always the one with the highest maximum health.
- Rage of the Gods (Rank 2) - Now hits 2 targets. Targets are always the two with the highest maximum health.
- Fist of the Gods (Rank 3) - NPC Targets are always the three with the highest maximum health.

Wrath of the Gods
- Increased damage to objectives from 900 true damage to 1000 true damage.
- No longer deals a % of health damage to objectives bosses.
- Subsequent Wrath of the Gods uses by your team on the same target deal 50% reduced damage for 10s.
- Objective health bars now turn yellow at 900 health.

The Executioner
- Reduced Attack Speed from 25% to 20%.
- Cost increased from 2200 to 2250.

Greater Sprint
- No longer removes in-hand movement speed penalty.

- Now round up when losing half stacks on death, to a minimum of 1.
- Increased cost from 1790 to 1890.
- +20 Physical Power, +10 Movement Speed.
- Passive - You gain +6 Physical Power per stack, and receive 2 stacks per god kill and 1 stack per god kill assist. Half of your stacks are lost on death. (Max 10 stacks).

Heavenly Agility
- Reduced duration from 6s to 5s.

Magi's Blessing
- Increased price from 2250 to 2350.
- Increased cooldown from 60s to 90s.

Qin's Sais
- Price reduced from 3050 to 2850.

Runic Shield
- Reduced cost from 2400 to 2300

Shield of Regrowth
- Physical Protection increased from 20 to 30.

Shoes of the Magi
- Reduces Magical Power from 65 to 40.
- Now provides +10 Magical Penetration.
- Price increased from 1550 to 1600.

Void Shield
- Fixed description displaying “Passive” instead of “Aura”

- Increased Attack Speed slow Aura from 15% to 20%.
- Increase Power reduction on enemies from 25 to 30.
- Fixed tooltip error showing +20% Attack Speed instead of +15%.


- Fixed missing fire fx playing in lobby.

Ah Muzen Cab
- Basic Attacks from Ah Muzen Cab will now extend the duration of Bees! on the target by 1s.
- Targets that suffer from Bees! for 4s are Disarmed for 1s.
- Reduced duration from 3s to 2s.
- Fixed issue where Vulcan’s turrets would not take damage from Bees! if hit with Ah Muzen Cab’s Honey.

Ah Puch
Undead Surge
- Updated targeter and FX radius to more closely match affected area.
Empty the Crypts
- Now disappears when Ah Puch dies.
Undead Scourge
- Updated tooltip to say at ranks 1-3 this ability only spawns one decaying corpse.

Across the Sky
- Fixed a few Conquest map issues where Apollo could leave the map.

Ao Kuang
- Fixed issue where casting an ability while out of Mana could consume two charges.
King of the Eastern Seas
- Fixed several cases where landing the ability would not properly knock up or Execute the target.

- Fixed arrow issue when she uses emote in lobby.
Transgressor’s Fate
- Fixed an issue where enemies could be affected by the trap’s pull after they had teleported away from it.

Feather Step
- Fixed not Crippling Sun Wukong while in Bird form.
Gravity Surge
- Fixed Roots not properly shedding.

Cat Call
- Reduced health of cats from 650/700/750/800/850 to 500/550/600/650/700.

Rain Dance
- Fixed missing targeters from Slaughterhouse skin.
Storm Call
- Fixed an issue where incorrect FX were used when casted near a deployed axe.
- Fixed missing Cooldowns from description.
- Fixed missing targeters from Slaughterhouse skin.

Jade Rabbit
- Increased speed for Jade Rabbit to shorten time he takes to purchase items.
- Fixed issue where Jade Rabbit would get stuck on a wall in Joust map.
- Fixed Rabbit not returning with Actives and Consumables purchased if using Auto Buy.
- Updated description to say that it also gives Mana for dodging Basic Attacks.

- Fixed clipping issue when using Dance emote in lobby

- Fixed Geb loosing movement speed after gaining crowd control immunity.

Guan Yu
Warrior’s Will
- Fixed Cripple immunity not working.

- Fixed not hitting if targets were partially in a wall.

Hou Yi
- This ability has been reworked. When activated, Hou Yi will jump straight up into the air and pause, choosing a landing location.

Marked for Death
- Tooltip updated to properly display 10% + 1%, rather than 10 + 1.
- Fixed Lifesteal being granted on targets with Shield of the Underworld.
- Fixed Roots not properly shedding.

- Fixed Arena Recommended Item Build missing last item.
- Fixed the buff timer disappearing when using Basic Attack and not hitting anything.

- Updated tooltip with correct healing values.

Ne Zha
Immortal Spirit – Passive
Immortal Spirit has been reworked into Righteous Spirit.
- Ne Zha gains a stack when he hits an enemy with a Basic Attack, and an additional stack for Critical Strikes. He may activate Flaming Spear to consume these stacks and heal himself.
- Heals for 1.25% per stack, max. 20.
Wind Fire Wheels
- Fixed an issue where using the ability on Janus while going through a portal could cause both players to get stuck.
Armillary Sash
- Fixed not dealing damage if hitting crowd control immune targets.
Righteous Spirit
- Fixed a visual issue with the timer on the icon stacking.

Shadow Lock
- Fixed an issue where Nox could cast this ability twice.
- You can now use instant cast active items while channeling this ability, without interruption.
- This ability is no longer affected by Crowd Control Reduction, as long as Nox is still channeling.
Siphon Darkness
- Fixed tooltip to correctly show 2s.
Shadow Step
- Fixed a bad interaction with Janus Portal.

- Fixed Trident debuff icon showing on enemies instead of Whirlpool.

Divine Light
- Updated tooltip to state that enemies looking at Ra will gain 2 slowing stacks per tick instead of 1.

- Fixed a condition where he could be killed twice.
Through The Cosmos
- Ratatoskr will now land at the last valid targeted location if the ability times out while targeting a non-valid location.
- Reduced damage from 250/330/410/490/570 to 200/260/320/380/440.
- Reduced scaling from 100% to 70%
- Reduced maximum time on one branch from 4 to 3s.
- Now marks all targets hit instead of just one target per Dash. Hitting a marked target at any time will cause Dart to not reset its Cooldown.
Opal Acorn
- Reduced scaling from 70% to 55%.
Flurry of Acorns
- Corrected rank 1 of Flurry of Acorns cooldown from 8s to the desired 12s.
Acorn Blast
Emerald Acorn
- Reduced maximum number of hits that trigger a heal from 5 to 4.
Sapphire Acorn
- Reduced damage from 30/35/40/45/50 to 10/15/20/25/30.
- Reduced scaling from 60% to 40%.
Blue Acorn
- Reduced Physical Power from 30 to 25.
Yellow Acorn
- Reduced Physical Power from 30 to 25.
Sapphire Acorn
- Reduced Physical Penetration from +15 to +10.
Emerald Acorn
- Reduced Physical Penetration from +15 to +10.

Passive: Chain of Blows
- Increased damage multiplier from 7.5% per stack to 10% per stack (Max from 60 to 80).
Basic Attacks
- Updated his attack chain to correctly reflect the listed time.
Overhead Kick
- Ravana is now Crowd Control immune during this ability.
10-Hand Shadow Fist
- Cooldown reduced from 18s to 15s.
- Healing changed from % damage dealt to flat 10/15/25/40/60 per hit.
Mystic Rush
- The Shield now scales in Damage Reduction, from a flat 40% to 40/45/50/55/60%.
- Now doubles your current passive stacks upon firing.

Tail Whip
- Fixed issue where ability would not go on Cooldown if interrupted.

Sun Wukong
72 Transformations
- Fixed an issue where quick casting would not work for the Eagle transformation.

Wield Axes (Wield Bow)
- Now mentions Disarm in description.

- Fixed untextured assets at Defeat screen.
Branching Bola
- Fixed a case where sometimes the FX would turn off.
Poison Darts
- Addressed issue where Xbalanque would not be able to attack after casting ability.

- Rework clap emote not animating.
