Hue Announced For Xbox One

By Joseph C, 1 year ago
Indie publisher Curve Digital has acquired rights to publish Fiddlesticks’ new 2D adventure in colour, Hue, on all platforms in 2016.  Hue is a puzzle platformer where the aesthetics aren’t just for looks, as they affect the gameplay as well.

The titular character, Hue, acquires the colour ring, a tool that lets him change how colour is perceived.  Hue will use this ability to navigate the world, shifting individual colours to alternate hues (that’s other colours, not other versions of himself) to reveal paths, navigate obstacles and threats, battle foes, maneuver platforming puzzles, and more.

All of this will serve as a means to an end, rescuing Hue’s mother, who has become trapped in the mono world, with the evil Doctor Gray in power.  Check out the initial trio of screenshots below.

36-year old married gamer, father to a fierce Boston Terrier but no humanoid children. I've been gaming practically my whole life, starting around when I was 5 or 6 years old with an Atari 2600 and progressing through nearly every console ever released apart from the Wii U. I'm a completionist by nature, but am trying to move away from chasing every-higher gamerscore and just focusing on enjoying the great games that are all around me. We'll see how successful I am. I've been on TA since 2009 but have become much more active on the site in the past couple of years, and look forward to seeing it grow now that the XB1 app is getting it some much-deserved exposure!
