At last year's E3, a new Xbox exclusive was revealed in the form of Scalebound
. Since then, there hasn't been any solid information apart from tidbits circling the internet. At this year's Gamescom, the red tape was finally cut and the game was given a full reveal.
Created by Platinum Games, the minds behind the likes of Bayonetta
and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
introduces us to Drew, a travelling loner who has been bound to a dragon named Thuban, who is the last of his kind. This duo have been pulled into the world of Draconis and they must learn to fight those that oppose Draconis, Earth and ultimately a universe of parallel worlds.Scalebound
will allow you to chain attacks together and work alongside your dragon to defeat legions of enemies, and as well as this you'll be able to customise your dragon however you want and change its unique abilities. Platinum Games has promised epic-scale beats and accessible, yet deep gameplay that is stylish and over the top.
This all sounds well and good, but where's the evidence? Right here, of course:
To accompany the reveal, some screenshots have also been showcased:Scalebound
will be coming to Xbox One in 2016.
