In amongst the chaos of Gamescom, Visceral Games took to their Battlelog blog to introduce the second DLC expansion pack that is due to arrive for Battlefield Hardline
: "Battlefield Hardline: Robbery".
Everything revolves around the Big Score. If you're on the criminal team, you need to plan and perform a perfect heist. If you're an officer of the law, you need to catch them before they execute one of the biggest scores in history, be it boosting jewels, grabbing high-value intel from the locker room of a precinct, or double-crossing a major smuggling ring. Here's a quick rundown of the DLC's features:
• Four expansive maps: The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7
• New 5v5 game mode: Squad Heist
• 4 new weapons
• 2 new gadgets
• 2 new factional vehicles and new vehicle upgrades
• New camos and vehicle paints
• The Legendary Super Feature
While I can't comment on the Legendary Super Feature, I can explain a bit more about Squad Heist. This new game mode was built with Battlefield
's Squad Rush in mind and has three stages. First, the criminals must take a "drill", break into a "vault" and grab the loot. The second stage sees the criminals grabbing the "drill" again and trying to grab the riches within a second "vault". During the third stage, the criminals must then move to a safe location where they can call in a helicopter and escape. Of course, the "drill" and the "vault" are themed to the map that players are tackling; as an example, the drill might actually be a Glass Cutter and the vault might be a Display Case in which lies a Blue Diamond. The criminals get a maximum of 25 deploy tickets per stage. If these are depleted, law enforcement is the winning team.
"Battlefield Hardline: Robbery" is due to be released for Battlefield Hardline Premium members next month. It will be released for everybody else sometime afterwards.
