Microsoft's presence at Gamescom of course means that Halo would appear in some form. As well as announcing the long awaited, and highly speculated, sequel to 2009's Halo RTS Halo Wars, 343 Industries have also brought a plethora of details, screens and trailer with them for the next main title in the series; Halo 5: Guardians. To kick things off, we have a selection of screens from the title's campaign to share with you.

Next, we have a new trailer that shows the evolution of Halo's multiplayer in Halo 5: Guardians from the changes that the core multiplayer has undergone to become the hyper-intensive Arena mode and the addition of the co-operative Warzone.

Xbox On's BennyCentral, along with YouTubers Ali-A, Vikkstar123 and Wizzite, went hands-on with the title's Arena mode and provides some insight into how the competitive mode has changed in the latest iteration of the series.

Alongside the trailers, a large number of Warzone and Arena screenshots were also released, that also feature a first look at the brand-new Arena multiplayer map: Coliseum. The new map takes its design influences from the first incursions of the Flood into the Forerunners’ outer territories.
