Mighty No. 9 Delayed to 2016

By Chewie, 1 year ago
The road to releasing Mighty No. 9, Keiji Inafune's Kickstarted spiritual successor to the hugely popular Mega Man series, has been a fairly rocky one since its original announcement in September 2013. Originally given a release window of this April, a firm date of September 15th was then given earlier this year. Unfortunately, the team has now taken to their Kickstarter page to announce further delays. Although development of the game is finished, there are still bugs the team wish to iron out before release, specifically around the online portion of the game.

As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release.
To assuage some of the disappointment at that announcement, the developers have released a speedrun video of the first stage of the game to give a taster of what to expect when it finally arrives.

Mighty No. 9 will now be due on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 in early 2016.
