Castle Crashers Remastered Release Dated

By Keith Gray,
In June, developer The Behemoth announced that it would be releasing a remastered version of its classic Xbox 360 action title, Castle Crashers on Xbox One later this year.

Today, the developer has confirmed that Castle Crashers Remastered will benefit from "...seven years of technology getting more and more powerful..." to bring an even better game to the new generation of consoles when it arrives on September 9th.

Furthermore, The Behemoth has also revealed some special pricing details for the new game. The title will normally sell at $14.99 (or regional equivalent); however, gamers who purchased Castle Crashers on the Xbox 360 and have a current Xbox Live Gold subscription can get their hands on the remastered Xbox One game for free between the release date and September 20th inclusive. From September 21st, meeting the same conditions will allow you to purchase the new game for $5.

The Behemoth has taken the opportunity of this announcement to remind us that Castle Crashers will become playable on Xbox One in the "nearish future" courtesy of the Backwards Compatibility rollout that was confirmed at E3 2015.
