By Mark Delaney, 2 years ago
While naysayers rant about how sports games are the same year to year, fans of the genre know one of the redeeming qualities of the games is finding out the new player ratings. How will rookies be looked at? How much have your favorite players or teams risen or fallen in the hierarchy of the league's elite? You see it happen on the court/field/rink/pitch and the new game arrives to reflect that. EA's always-the-bridesmaid basketball series, NBA LIVE 16, is really trying to take a shot at 2K's counterpart this season. We've detailed a lot of the game's new features for months now. Let's see how their versions of some of the league's best are rated.

If none of these players compare to hitting the court as yourself, you can do that too. Check out this tutorial trailer for the game's impressive GameFaceHD technology that allows you to scan your own face into the game.

NBA Live 16 comes to stores on September 29th.
