NBA 2K16 is The Most Cinematic Sports Game Ever

By Mark Delaney, 1 year ago
We've already seen Spike Lee's influence across different aspects of NBA 2K16, but this new trailer takes the game to a level of storytelling that has never been seen in sports games. The popular MyCareer game mode allows you to take league by storm as yourself. This year, the famed director is at the helm to give the game more narrative arc than just the on the court drama and business decisions we've seen in the past. It's even been given its own name, like a Hollywood movie. Presenting Livin' Da Dream, a Spike Lee joint.

Amid all the drama, did anyone else find it difficult to keep from laughing at the protagonist's name? Frequency Vibrations? Yup, that's Spike Lee. 2K16 arrives on September 29th. Pre-ordered copies become available on the 25th, four days early.
