inXile Entertainment releases a new trailer and some screenshots for the improved console version of their critically-acclaimed RPG, Wasteland 2: Director's Cut. Featured in post-apocalyptic Arizona and California, the game will include complex character building, tactical turn-based combat, a reactive storyline and a classic RPG experience as you explore a huge open world.
Some of the changes from the PC-version include a graphics overhaul with the Unity 5 game engine; redone character models, environments, and lighting; Precision Strikes which help to do targeted attacks on enemies to cripple them and open up more tactical options; a contextual and radial menu for fast selection which results in a smoother experience; and a boost to the character system with Perks and Quirks.
Quirks let you specify new personality traits that will have both advantages and disadvantages when you create your characters, and Perks let you pick special bonuses and new abilities as you level up throughout the game.
Wasteland 2 will be released for the Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 13th, 2015 in the Americas and October 16th worldwide.
