Black Ops III (360) Will Not Feature A Campaign

With being the first Black Ops title to make its way to current-gen consoles, game developer Treyarch have taken full advantage of the technology available via the Xbox One to truly make Black Ops III a "next level" experience and keep the long-time Call of Duty fans coming back for more. However, not everyone has transitioned from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One. Thankfully, Treyarch had not abandoned 360 owners and confirmed back in June this year that development studios Beenox and Mercenary Technology would be working on the last-gen version of the game.

Unfortunately, Treyarch have now confirmed that the Xbox 360 version will not feature a Campaign, just Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only. The 1-4 player coop Campaign that will feature on the Xbox One "could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware". Treyarch go on to state why the old-gen version will be without the Campaign:

Delivering the best possible gameplay experience on all platforms is always our highest priority. With that in mind, Black Ops 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 players can continue to look forward to a new experience of Black Ops 3 multiplayer, including the new momentum-based, chain-movement system, as well as the all-new Specialist class of 9 Black Ops soldiers, which fundamentally change the way players engage in combat.
To further the blow to 360 gamers, the Weapon Paint Shop and the selection of eSports tools will also not be available. However, on the plus side, all copies of Black Ops III will include a bonus download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops so gamers can delve into the dark start of the Black Ops series for the first time, or enjoy it all again.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III makes its way to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 6th.
