Guitar Hero Live GHTV Competition

By Peter Stojanov, 1 year ago
Activision has announced a competition for Guitar Hero Live in conjunction with the Guitar Hero TV Star feature of the game. They ask that fans send in clips of themselves dancing and singing to the hit song "Sing" by Ed Sheeran, in which they'll then release a user-generated music video on GHTV.

The CMO of Activion Publishing, Inc., Tim Ellis, had this to say:
Guitar Hero Live gives you the thrill of being a rock star by playing in front of real crowds or awesome music videos, so we wanted to give fans the opportunity to become stars of their own music video that will be featured and playable in the game. This is something that has never been done before and we believe it is the perfect way to celebrate the launch of the game. With GHTV, the game’s online playable music video network, we can deliver all kinds of gameplay experiences that just weren’t possible in the past. To put real fans into a video that people can play along to in the game is an expression of the innovation that we have built into Guitar Hero Live and we’re excited for fans to play along – and sing along – to the music.
Starting today until October 25th, fans' submitted clips will be chosen by a music video editor through the musical.ly app and shared on Twitter and Instagram including the official #GuitarHeroTVStar hashtag. To find out more about participating, visit the official Guitar Hero website.

Guitar Hero Live will be released for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on October 23rd.

Hello everybody! My name is Peter but I'm usually known as smokin cheez or just cheez. I've been a Newshound and reviewer for TrueTrophies for awhile now and when I heard that TA needed some more Newshounds I applied right away! The meaning behind my gamertag isn't what most potheads think it is, it's just because I like cheese, especially ones that are smoking. I live in Ontario, Canada and I love to write. Just mopping up school now and working at the airport to pay off loans but it barely stops me from writing for these awesome sites. Even though I write for TT, the sister, PlayStation version of TA, I'm actually more of a Xbox player. I've always preferred it more plus I'm a HUGE Halo fan (played all the games, watched all the media, read all the books and comics) probably because it's the only thing I've been there for since the beginning. When Xbox One came out I even traded in the PlayStation 3 I had to get it, also since my girlfriend has PS3 and PS4 I just play the newer games that come out on hers. Thanks again for adding me to the TA crew and I plan to help out as much as I can with the news, and reviews if they let me here! cheez
