Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake, a peaceful summer camp where the stereotypical and naïve teenage counselors frolic in the bushes, sing songs around the camp fire, and go skinny dipping in a pitch black lake, all while being hunted by a masked killer. Gun Media announced
the other day that Friday the 13th: The Game
has received the funding needed to become a reality. Gamers will have the option to choose whether they want to be one of the various counselor classes such as "The Jock," "The Edgy Guy," "The Girl Next Door," or if they'd rather be the maniacal Jason Voorhees.
Take a look at this early pre-alpha gameplay of a very terrified character trying to outpace a monster. Keep in mind that, so far, the most terrifying part of the footage is that it's of a title still early in development.

is expected to be on Xbox One, but a time frame for its release has not yet been revealed.
