Ubisoft's Zombi Getting a Physical Release

By Mark Delaney, 1 year ago
Once upon a time ZombiU was, as the name implies, a WiiU exclusive. Ubisoft's first-person zombie-smashing game was only available on Nintendo's polarizing console for three years. That was no longer the case when earlier this year it arrived on other consoles digitally, dropping the U from its name and rebranding simply as ZOMBI.

If you're the type to not buy digital games, first of all, the future will not be fun for you. But second of all, for now, you're in luck, as Zombi will be getting a boxed version early next year. We reviewed the game and gave it a middling 2.5/5 stars, citing tense combat but lackluster controls, story, and visuals. Still, for the bargain price of $19.99, it'll attract some buyers like fresh meat to the undead. It also promises some improvements like "new melee weapons, faster load times, improved flashlight gameplay and overall visual effects." It'll be available via B&M stores and online retailers starting on January 21st next year.
