Need For Speed Showcase Update Details

Ghost Games is continuing to bring new content to the racing title Need for Speed. Following on from the previous update, the developer has now revealed details for the upcoming "Showcase Update" and, as usual, it is a fairly significant update.

NFS: Showcase Update

Firstly, a new feature has been added to the game entitled Snapshot Pro, enabling players to take pictures of their custom rides. Various photography settings and filters are available to ensure that the player can get the best shot possible.

Photos may well be handy for the next new feature: Wrap Sharing. This was one of the most popular fan requests and the development team has listened by adding the ability to share and download wraps, and even edit and tweak them further.

For those looking to customize their rides a little more, the team has added over 100 new customization items for the following 11 cars in the title:
- Ford Focus RS
- Chevrolet Camaro Z28
- BMW M3 E92
- Ford Mustang Boss 302
- Ford Mustang Foxbody
- Ford Mustang GT
- Mazda MX5 (2015)
- NISSAN 180sx Type X
- NISSAN Silvia Spec-R
- SUBARU BRZ Premium
- SUBARU Impreza WRX

NFS: Showcase Update

The final customization feature in the update is number plate personalization. Players will be able to select from a number of backgrounds from past NFS games, including Redview, Fairhaven, Palmont City, Rockport, Olympic City, Bayview and Tri City Bay. Alongside the backgrounds, you’ll also be able to apply a number of frames to complete the look.

Along with the personalization and customization, the update also introduces some new gameplay features. Significantly, the team has added a “Competitive” option at the front menu that will see you placed in a game with other players who are also looking to race competitively.

Gas Stations make a welcome return with their ability to repair players cars. Again, this was a feature that was heavily requested by fans, so most will be happy to see this feature reinstated. All gas stations in Ventura Bay will now repair your car, free of charge.

Finally, the update would not be complete without new achievements and, of course, they are related to the new features in the update:
Filter Addict - Take a Snapshot with a Filter in Snapshot Pro Mode
Wrap Artist - Share a Wrap with the Need for Speed Community
Climbing the Ranks - Reach Monthly Rank 10 by completing Daily Challenges
Need for Speed is available now with the "Showcase Update" arriving on February 3rd, 2016.

Special thanks to all of the community members for bringing this to our attention.
