Rocket League Hits Xbox One Next Week

By Mark Delaney, 1 year ago
The game that came out of nowhere to take gamers, Twitch, and e-sports by storm is finally ready to share with us its official Xbox One release date. Forgive me if I fall off the balance beam of objectivity in reporting this news. I love Rocket League and I'm genuinely pleased to know more people will soon be introduced to its addictive gameplay. Not to bury the lead, though, look for it to arrive next Wednesday, the 17th, on the Xbox One's digital store.

RL 2

The game takes the basic rules and gameplay of soccer but mashes them up with fully customizable and acrobatic cars that feel like radio controlled toys. Games can be played in teams of one through four. Online play, offline seasons, and exhibition make up the modes available, and since Xbox One is playing catch-up to PC and PS4 players, the $20 price tag includes three DLC packs at no extra charge.

You can check out more screenshots, a trailer, and content information in our announcement story. I'll see you all on the neon-infused pitch next Wednesday.
