Conan Exiles Details, Screens and Developer Diary

By Ashley Woodcock, 2 years ago
Following up on the details we covered last month for Funcom's Conan Exiles, more details have been released along with a few screens and a developer diary video.

Players will prepare to set out in the brutal lands of Conan Exiles either by themselves or in multiplayer on public or private servers. Players must "hunt for food, grow crops, gather resources, craft tools and weapons, and build a shelter".

Team up with other players to build entire settlements and fortified strongholds. From here, wage war on your enemies and make them feel the pain in fast-paced combat as limbs go flying and heads go rolling. If scrapping in battles with other exiles isn't your thing, why not align yourself with the Hyborian gods and build altars to their glory. Become more powerful by sacrificing the bloody hearts of enemy players upon the altars. Also, Funcom has released details of a special event that will also take place:

Players will also have to face the purge: a special event where NPC armies from the neighboring kingdoms sweep in to destroy the progress that the exiles have made. Will you stand together with your fellow players against the purge, or will you use it to your advantage?
Take a look at these pre-alpha screens for a taste of the brutal land players will soon explore:

The new video gives us an introduction to the game as well as the developers involved, and a look behind the scenes:

Conan Exiles is still planned for an early access release on PC this summer. A full PC release and console release will follow after.

We've got the full list of Conan Exiles achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
