ID@Xbox Milan Showcase Introduces Four Titles

By Rebecca Smith, 10 months ago
Every now and again, Microsoft showcases several of their ID@Xbox titles behind closed doors to the press. The most recent Milan showcase was no exception and 11 Italian developers got the chance to show off their games. Players have already been able to experience Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space, Hyperdrive Massacre, In Space We Brawl: Full Arsenal Edition and ZHEROS for themselves. Three of the others had also already been introduced to gamers. You can find more information on each of these three by clicking on the links below:

This left four titles that need to be introduced. Here they are:

Active Soccer 2 DX

The Fox Software's top-down arcade football title promises to provide a "fast-paced arcade experience" that will be easy to learn, but difficult to master. The game's career mode includes international leagues, cups and championships, as well as 850 teams and 22,000 players. As a manager, players must create tactics, play matches and use their budget wisely to purchase players, all with the aim of gaining promotion. Up to eight players can be supported in local multiplayer matches.

forma.8

Players may already be familiar with developer MixedBag if they have ever played the Playstation title Futuridium EP Deluxe. The Metroidvania style forma.8 is the follow-up title to the aforementioned game. Players assume the role of a small exploration probe, forma.8. Separated from his companions after an accident, he is stranded on the surface of an alien planet. His only hope for survival is to recover a powerful energy source that can be found deep under the planet's surface. The only problem is that he faces ancient civilisations, dystopian visions and a great amount of danger, especially when nothing is as it seems.

GRIDD: Retroenhanced

Formerly known as Gridd 3, players won't be surprised to learn that this game is the third in the Gridd series of games. As the first two titles were only released on mobile platforms, Gridd: Retroenhanced marks Antab Studio's debut on consoles. The procedural neon-flavoured shooter challenges players with an endless run to defeat enemies, increase their score multiplier and collect power ups, all to achieve the highest score possible.

Super Cane Magic Zero

Studio Evil's rather crazy Action-RPG enters a world that has been created by cartoonist Simone Albrigi, otherwise known as Sio. The game tells of the events after AAAH! the dog eats a powerful magic cane, unwittingly throwing the world of WOTF into a state of chaos. Coso, Cosa and their friends must collect items to eat or throw at enemies, survive the reality-transforming spells and defeat their enemies across three different modes. This can be done alone or with the help of three friends in local co-op.

As usual, we'll be sure to bring you more information on these titles as we get it!
