Friday The 13th Adds Two New Videos

Slasher films have taught us many things since they rose to prominence in the 1980's. For example:

- Pre-marital sex is a death wish.
- Never say "I'll be right back." That means you won't be.
- The rules of physics don't often apply to the slasher himself.

That third rule is a doozy, but to combat the advantages Jason Voorhees will have over the camp counselors at Crystal Lake, Friday the 13th: The Game will offer a variety of traps in which you can ensnare the undead, machete-wielding, vengeance-driven psychopath. This gameplay video goes through that mechanic and demonstrates how to (and how to not) utilize them properly to aid in your survival.

A second video, seen below, goes behind the scenes to look at the game's mocap performances. Watching a bunch of adults wearing tight cloth decorated with balls isn't so scary, but when put into the final game, all these kill animations will go a long way to instilling fear in the players who aren't fortunate to play as Jason himself.

Friday the 13th: The Game is due out this October, just in time for Halloween.
