Longevity doesn't look set to be an issue for Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft as more in-depth details on post-launch plans for Tom Clancy's The Division
have been released, showcasing content that will be releasing from next month through until the Winter. Well, that's for "Year One" at least, anyway.
We covered the details of the three expansion packs
in January. The new details come in the form of two separate and free updates that will be available for the game in April and May. Titled "Incursions" and "Conflict", the first adds a new end-game activity and loot trading; the second adds new features to the Dark Zone and a new incursion. Here's the full details:
• Incursions: In April, the first free update will introduce the first incursion, a new challenging end-game activity developed specifically for squad play. Teams will be able to test their skills as they face seemingly unstoppable enemies to gain high-level weapons and equipment. This update will also add one of the community’s most-wanted feature, loot trading; allowing players in the same group to trade loot collected during a co-op game session.
• Conflict: In May, the second free update will add new features to the Dark Zone and add a new incursion in the iconic Columbus Circle.
Alongside the details, Ubisoft has also released a video showcasing the content to come.
Lastly, as if I
most of us weren't excited enough already, two new TV spot trailers have also been released. One comes in a cinematic form and the other in gameplay form.
releases this coming Tuesday, March 8th.
