Heart&Slash Coming to Xbox One

BadLand Indie is hard at work publishing some of the most intriguing upcoming indie titles on the Xbox One, and this reveal is no different. The publisher has confirmed that it will be working with aheartfulofgames to bring their roguelike robot love story, Heart&Slash, to consoles.

In Heart&Slash, players take control of a sentient robot named Heart who is attempting to escape the evil machine QuAsSy (Quality Assurance Systems). Throughout the game, players will encounter some of the game's seventy five weapons or sixty pieces of equipment that will allow for gamers to customize Heart to their play style. Levels, weapons, and items are randomly generated, so each perma-death will allow for the world to be restructured and weapon and item placement to be altered. The game utilizes a presistent progression system so while the world may change, skills acquired will remain. This allows each revision of the world to be tackled with more aptitude.

Heart&Slash is set for release some time in Q2 2016 and will be released both digitally and at retail.
