Rise of the Tomb Raider's Cold Darkness Awakened Out Next Week

Announced today by Microsoft, Rise of the Tomb Raider's final add-on "Cold Darkness Awakened" will be released next week on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows 10. This is the game's third piece of DLC, following in the footsteps of "Endurance Mode" and the "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" story expansion.

In "Cold Darkness Awakened," Lara has traveled back to a decommissioned Cold War research base in the Siberian wilderness, where a deadly affliction has transformed Trinity soldiers into what looks and sounds like Tomb Raider's version of zombies. This last adventure hasn't been detailed to any great extent thus far, but you can catch a glimpse of it at the 1:28 mark of the video below.

"Cold Darkness Awakened" will release next week on Tuesday, March 29th. The DLC is included in the game's Season Pass, but can also be purchased separately. If you haven't had the chance to play Lara's latest adventure yet, Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently 35% off on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 as part of the Spring Sale.
