Of those remaining, 12 are titles to which we haven't been introduced before. Here they are:Anamorphine
Artifact 5's "first-person surreal exploration" title tells the story of Tyler, who is in post-traumatic denial after an unknown trauma. Players must travel through his memories as he faces his past, especially of his relationship with his wife, Elena, and her depression. Will he be able to face his past or will it consume him?
Spotlightor Interactive's protagonist is exactly as described -- he's a candle man. Despite only being able to burn for a duration of 10 seconds, he decides to travel into the darkness to seek a more permanent source of light. Players must use the mechanics of light and shadow to navigate across the many obstacles and challenges that lie in his way. As well as the game's basic premise, the developer promises that it will "reflect some very distinctive daily issues which connect us all".
Team OK's "local multiplayer stealth/death-match game" is different to your usual arena fighters -- the game's main mechanic is allowing the player to disappear. Players seek to hide themselves against the game's solid backgrounds in a world of only two colours. They are only revealed as perspective shifts when they move or attack. Set up the perfect ambush by hiding and evading at the right times.
Deliver Us The Moon
KeokeN Interactive's episodic space survival/exploration game is set in the near future. Earth's resources are nearly depleted and the world's nations have come together to create the Worldwide Space Agency (WSA) and decide what to do next. As usual, these powers can't agree on the best course of action and each sends astronauts to the moon to perform their own investigations. The player assumes the role of a WSA astronaut who, together with his robot companion ASE, has gone rogue in an attempt to pool together all of the countries' research and to work out the best solution to save humanity.
Flightless' real-time strategy title claims to be a game for people who don't usually have time for RTS titles. Players are tasked with escaping from a decaying solar system and you can only do this by mining enough elemental resources from all of the solar system's planets. Each planet is a level in itself but many have enemies that must be defeated if you're ever to reach the outer planets. There are no specialised units or micro-managing -- the gameplay has been streamlined back to the essentials so that players can get into the action as quickly as possible.
Not to be confused with Flight School
, Dovetail Games acquired Microsoft's Flight Simulator
license and this will be the first new Flight Simulator
title to be released on Xbox One and Windows 10. With 24,000 destinations, the game promises to offer the ability to take off from anywhere in the world and will allow players to fly some of the "world’s most iconic aircraft". Her Majesty's SPIFFING
Billy Goat Entertainment's successfully Kickstarted point-and-click adventure title is a typically British affair. Set some time in the future, Captain Frank Lee and his colleague Sub-Lieutenant Aled Jones are part of the first commissioned manned expedition into space as part of the Special Planetary Investigative Force For Inhabiting New Galaxies (SPIFFING). They must travel through the cosmos in the search for new worlds to claim for the Galactic British Empire on behalf of the Queen, who wishes to extend her empire once again.
The Deep End Games' narrative-focused horror adventure game puts players in the shoes of Cassie, a young blind woman who is gifted with extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits. Unfortunately, she is also haunted by the abandoned Echo Bluff Estate that focuses heavily in her dreams... and her nightmares. Using echolocation, players will be able to build up a picture of the estate and enable Cassie to solve its mysteries, as well as evading The Presence that seeks to cause her harm.
Daniel Snd's multiplayer arena game is described as "a cross between dodgeball and billiards". Up to four local players can take part in a match where each player only gets one Rocket Fist at a time, therefore they only get one shot before having to run, dodge and hide as they attempt to retrieve it. The game does also offer a single player mode and a simple control scheme that uses just one button and joystick.
Unknown Worlds' open-world exploration game crash lands players on an alien underwater planet. Not only must you survive by managing your water, food, oxygen supply and equipment, you must find out why you're here and try to make your way back home again, but the only way is down. The game's oceans range from shallow coral reefs to deep sea trenches filled with life, both harmless and harmful. This game will be entering Xbox Game Preview on April 1st.
The Turing Test
Bulkhead Interactive's second Xbox One (and first Windows 10) release is a first person puzzler title just like Pneuma: Breath of Life
. This time, players assume the role of Ava Turing, an engineer for the International Space Agency (ISA). Exploring the topics of consciousness, human intuition and mankind's need to explore, players must discover the truth behind humanity's research base on Europa. Solve puzzles by using an Energy Manipulation Tool (EMT) to transpose power between objects, take control of machines and manipulate much larger structures as the game transcends the line between man and machine.
World to the West
Players of Teslagrad
will be familiar with Rain Games' work. World to the West
is their second Xbox One title and is a top-down action adventure game where players must discover a world of corrupt colonies and forgotten civilizations. Four heroes, each with their own unique abilities, must explore untamed jungles, frozen tundras and the mysteries of an ancient prophecy.
As usual, we'll be sure to bring you more information on these titles as we get it!
