The hype continues to mount for Gears of War 4 with the release of a new multiplayer trailer, which alluded to new weapons, maps and modes.

Here are some takeaways from the video (some of which are already available in the beta, some are not):

-Retro lancer and retro charge will be returning
-Return of face punching execution
-Mantle kicking from Gears of War 3 returns, now called "vault kicking," can also be done straight out of running instead of having to be in cover first
-New "yank" ability: pulling someone across cover from you over onto your side, think the opposite of a mantle/vault kick
-Dropshot weapon: an explosive gun that fires further the longer you hold down the trigger
-Buzzkill weapon: fires a saw blade that appears to bounce off surfaces
-Dam, Foundation and Harbor maps (already playable in the beta)
-New modes: Dodgeball, Co-Op Vs. AI (playable in the beta) and Escalation (worldwide reveal coming tomorrow, April 23rd)
-Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Guardian, Warzone and Execution confirmed to be returning
-60 FPS
-Dedicated servers
-LAN ready

The worldwide reveal of the new game mode Escalation will take place tomorrow, April 23rd, at 8:00 a.m. PDT on the official Gears of War Twitch channel.

Shortly after that, the “Out of the Shadows: Inside Gears of War Multiplayer with The Coalition” panel will be broadcast live from PAX East, which will give even more insight about Gears of War 4's highly anticipated multiplayer. The panel begins at 10:30 a.m. PDT, and will also be broadcast live on the Gears of War Twitch channel.

For those who just want to kick Swarm butt instead of watching and reading about it, the Gears of War 4 beta is currently in early access, and will open to everyone on Monday, April 25th.
