A Release Date and Trailer for TurnOn

By Kelly Packard,
TurnOn, a platformer about one little spark just trying to save a city from darkness that we first saw at E3 2015, is back with a release date and a new gameplay trailer.

TurnOn tells the story of a city enveloped in a complete blackout. "Electrical appliances will stop working, [there] will [be] no lights on the streets, no Internet, mobile communications, and people will take to the street to see what [is] going on," said the developer, Brainy Studio. "Can you conceive it?"

Before being shown at E3, the prototype of TurnOn won first place in the Games category at the Imagine Cup 2014 hosted by Microsoft. The idea for the game came from "Earth Hour," a global event started in 2007 that encourages everyone to turn off their lights for one hour.

TurnOn is arriving on Xbox One on June 1st.
