While Ubisoft has given us some information and teasers for the upcoming "Operation Dust Line" DLC for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, we now have a slew of new information regarding the DLC as well as a trailer to showcase some of the new gear that will be at your disposal.

The main features of the new DLC are the characters and the map that will be featured. The new characters, Valkyrie and Blackbeard, are exclusive to season pass holders for the first seven days, and will then be available for everyone else to purchase through either R6 Credits or Renown. As was covered earlier these two new operators are both Navy Seals who come equipped with their own unique gadget. Blackbeard carries with him a Transparent Armored Rifle Shield which offers him protection while not comprimising vision. Valkyrie is more defense oriented, and she will come with the “Black Eye” Gyro Cam Mk2, which is a deployable sticky cam, giving her vision wherever needed. The characters and their gadgets can be seen in the screenshots below:

The DLC will also add Border, a new map that will be free for all Rainbow Six Siege players to enjoy, and has been called the "most destructible and open map to date." Screenshots of Border can be seen below:

Ubisoft also put together a quick trailer to give us a glimpse of Blackbeard and Valkyrie in action on the new map:

Finally, the DLC will also add loadout customization between rounds, new customization options including weapon charms, headgear and new weapon skins, a winning team showcase which displays the custom operators of both the winning and losing team following the final match, crowning an MVP, and a handful of gameplay improvements and fixes that can be seen here. Some of the noteworthy additions and new customization options can be seen in the screenshots below:

Season Pass holders for Rainbow Six Siege will receive Valkyrie and Blackbeard on May 11th while everyone else will be able to purchase them on May 18th. The rest of what is included in "Operation Dust Line" such as the new map and all the additions will be available for everyone on May 11th.
