Sascha Dikiciyan AKA Sonic Mayhem to Compose Tracks for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

It is the aftermath of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Since the Aug Incident, augmented humans have been segregated from "normal" society. Things are looking pretty crappy for Adam Jensen, but there's one thing he'll have on his side... a great soundtrack.

Today publisher Square Enix and developer Eidos Montreal announced Sascha Dikiciyan, AKA Sonic Mayhem, will be contributing to the soundtrack for the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Sonic Mayhem is well known for his contributions to Quake II, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 and a whole bunch of recognizable titles in between like the God of War series, Prototype and the Borderlands series.

Eidos Montreal considers the soundtrack a paramount part of the player experience.

Overseen by Executive Audio Director Steve Szczepkowski, the music direction of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided represents an evolution of the score created for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Mankind Divided deals with heavier subjects and, as a result, the music has been adapted to reflect the new state of the world. It plays a key role in immersing players within the more mature and darker atmosphere of the game, while still staying true to Deus Ex’s distinctive and signature style.
We didn't know it at the time, but Sonic Mayhem's track can be heard in the Adam Jensen 2.0 Trailer from October 2015. Steve Szczepkowski said:

After talking with Sascha, it became clear that we shared the same vision and passion for what musically drives Deus Ex. Sascha’s influences mirror ours in many ways, yet he also brings a whole other set of influences to the table. Sascha is completely immersed in the musical feeling of Deus Ex; he’s a huge fan of the franchise, and that comes through loud and clear in his compositions. We can’t wait for people to hear the work that he’s done and we are all thrilled he’s now part of the Deus Ex family!
The soundtrack will be available this fall. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launches on August 23rd.
