Worms W.M.D. Reveals Two More Weapons and New Screenshots

After announcing a boxed retail release for the upcoming Worms W.M.D., as well as celebrating their 25th anniversary, developer Team17 has revealed two new weapons for the turn-based worm combat game as well as a handful of screenshots.

Worms W.M.D. aims to return to the 2D cartoon-inspired worms that made the series memorable in the past, after straying from the formula in 3D titles like Worms: Ultimate Mayhem.

The game appears to have no shortage of Worms' signature zany weapons. After already unveiling The Unwanted Present and The Dodgy Phone Battery, Team17 has showcased two more, the Super Flatulence Sheep and Wrath of the Holy Hand Grenade. The Super Flatulence Sheep lays a thick cloud of, well, sheep flatulence, over the battlefield:

Wrath of the Holy Hand Grenade appears to be the opposite of the regular Holy Hand Grenade from past Worms titles. It seems to be drawing everything on the map toward it, as opposed to blowing everything up. Have a look for yourself here:

There's still no solid release date, but Worms W.M.D. is set to release "later this year."
