Vampyr Screens Shows Dr. Reid's Light and Dark Sides

After finally teasing some actual game images earlier this year, DONTNOD is ready to start showing us some real details of Vampyr, their upcoming Victorian suck-em-up (I'm coining that).

We've spoken before about the game's central conceit – our hero (for want of a better word) Dr. Jonathan Reid is torn between his new vampiric tendencies and his oath as a physician. The screens show off a little more of this duality as we see him staring moodily at gravestones, treating the wounded and then possibly wounding the treated. It's a vicious cycle.

DONTNOD has also confirmed that the game will be present at E3 this year. We're hoping that the team will be showing us a little evidence of their dynamic world, where your decisions on who to save and who to drink dry will have irreversible consequences for London's ecosystem. Maybe we'll even see the example given today – deciding to feed on a fellow doctor will apparently cause a dramatic drop in the health of his patients.

It'll be a little while before we can fully sink our teeth into this one, though, as the game won't be hitting shelves until some time in 2017.
