The second of three Resident Evil re-releases that was announced three months ago has been given a release date, In fact, it's been given two of them. Resident Evil 5 will hit the Xbox One's digital storefront at the end on June, the 28th to be exact. If you're more of a physical copy gamer, you can get it in B&M stores on July 12th.

Following a similar path of Resident Evil 6, RE5 will come bundled with all of its former modes and DLC, including the formerly PC-exclusive No Mercy mode. Presented in 1080p with "an increased frame rate" the game will also combine two modes, The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion, to form the new Mercenaries United mode.

With the release for Resident Evil 5 nearly here, fans can switch their attention to the forthcoming remaster of Resident Evil 4, or get really excited for the full Resident Evil 2 remake.
