Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Developer Update

By Kevin Tavore, 1 year ago
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night made a big splash last year when it first hit Kickstarter. Since its initial success, the game has seen steady development. Today IGA, the head developer heralded as the master of the "Igavania" (Metroidvania) genre, released the game's fourth development update which reveals the game's first area: a galleon named the Minerva.

The ship does indeed look very much like a ship should. If you'd like to see Miriam in action, you can take a look at the footage below as she travels across the ship, presumably searching out dinner, for what else could she be doing on a deserted ship? She'll jump and slide and fall through floors on her way to her destination in typical Igavania fashion.

Finally, IGA will also appear on Twitch next Wednesday to reveal more about the game. What will he show? We'll be sure to report back as soon as we know more.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently slated for March 2017.
