Minecraft Gets Xbox LIVE Achievements for Gear VR and Kindle Fire

Last week we picked up the achievement lists for Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Android) and Minecraft: Pocket Edition (iOS). Today we can announce that there will soon be Xbox LIVE support for the Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Kindle Fire) and Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Gear VR) versions, the first VR game with Xbox achievements!

While you'll know what to expect with the Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Kindle Fire), you would think that the Gear VR version will be a little different. Well, the game has all of the same features as the standard Pocket Edition and will have cross-platform play with all of the regular Pocket and Windows 10 editions of the game:

Build, explore and battle mobs - do all the things you know and love - but from a fresh perspective. With a VR headset on, coming face- to-face with monstrous mobs takes on new meaning; creeping into dark caves inspires even greater trepidation thanks to 3D audio; and the light of a gorgeous sunrise seems to envelop you more completely.
We're unsure as to when these versions of the games will receive the update that gives them Xbox LIVE achievements, but E3 is in just a few days time. Keep your eyes peeled on TA for all of the details as we get them!
