We're genuinely struggling to keep up with the Series at the moment. Off the back of multi-platform and VR achievement announcements and the latest "Battle Mode" trailer, Mojang took to the stage at Microsoft's E3 conference and told us more about Minecraft Realms.
This is something I've personally seen a lot of fans clamoring for. A persistent version of your Minecraft world, available to up to 10 friends in a private "Realm". It's always online, and anyone in the group can jump in when they feel like it. The possibilities are endless, although of course many of us here will be dreaming of the boosting possibilities.
One caveat: "Realms" is a subscription-based add on:
Realms has slightly different pricing plans for different platforms. The feature is available now for a free 30-day trial in Minecraft Pocket Edition across platforms, as well as the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta. Find out more here.
The cheapest is £5.59 per month for a server supporting up to 3 simultaneous players (including the owner) on Pocket / Windows 10 Edition. It's £5.59 for a server supporting up to 11 simultaneous players.
The PC / Mac version starts at £5.59 for a server supporting up to 11 players. You'll get the best deal if you’ve set up a recurring subscription, or buy multiple months at once. Windows 10 doesn't allow recurring subscriptions.
