Earlier today at Microsoft's E3 press conference, ReCore
was finally unveiled
. While we did get a trailer and a release date as well as a brief look at the gameplay, we didn't really get to learn about what the game actually is. In the wake of the conference, Microsoft has released further details about what we can expect from the upcoming title as well as a bevy of new screenshots.

The hero of ReCore
is Joule Adams. She's one of the last remaining humans in the entire world and she'll be teaming up with a squad of robots, each with unique abilities. She'll lead this squad through the world on a mysterious adventure. These robots are called Corebots, and they come in both friendly and enemy forms. The world is called Far Eden where Joule will find new dungeons and treasures in the region known as the Shifting Sands.
Microsoft describes the gameplay as "marr[ying] action and platformer gameplay with incredible visuals."
