Home Entertainment Suppliers Ltd has announced that rugby legend Jonah Lomu, will be assisting Sidhe with the development of the forthcoming title Rugby Challenge
The game will feature the name, likeness and motion of the All Blacks winger. Jonah also plans to work directly with the developers to utilise his vast rugby experience and expertise. Fans of the genre will be pleased to hear about the partnership, as Rugby Challenge
will be the first videogame, in over a decade, to feature Jonah Lomu.
David Robles, Business Development Manager for HES has explained why the publishers feel the new partnership will work:
HES is pulling out all the stops to make Rugby Challenge an exciting and memorable experience... Jonah is one of rugby’s greats, and will bring an extra something special to the game
Jonah Lomu is looking forward to the project, judging by his response:
I’m a big fan of videogames and being involved in making Rugby Challenge is a great experience
The release of Rugby Challenge
remains scheduled to coincide with the next Rugby World Cup (in Q3 2011), therefore a worldwide release is a strong possibility.
